Runway & Taxiway Project – October to December 2025

We are excited to share details about upcoming improvements at Fairhope Airport:
October 20 – October 30: Taxiway Alpha will be closed as it is transitioned into a temporary runway.
November 1 – November 30: The main runway will be closed for reconstruction. During this time, Taxiway Alpha will serve as the temporary runway.
December 1: The main runway will re-open, fully upgraded and ready for use.
Temporary Runway Operations (November 1–30):
Daytime VFR only
12,500 lb weight limit
3,000 ft length
FBO Hours During Runway Closure:
8:00 AM – 6:00 PM daily
Major Upgrades Coming Soon:
Increased runway weight capacity to 100,000 lbs
New runway lighting and PAPIs for enhanced safety
New taxiway lighting throughout the field
All new signage for improved clarity and operations

Expect frequent update emails from our team as the project progresses.
Refer to the attached taxi diagrams for updated routing when the temporary runway is in use.
